About the Co-Op
Just as the practice of Yoga is aimed at reducing the distractions and false identities that draw us away from our Truest Selves, we have envisioned the Co-Op at Sky as a space with fewer distractions. By sharing the costs and labor of keeping the studio open, we are able to keep the focus on simply teaching yoga to the best of our individual skills, understanding and values.
We truly welcome students of all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to deeply experienced practitioners, from all over the Lehigh Valley.
We’re just here to teach yoga to all who seek to learn. We invite you to come explore and share this warm and welcoming community with us.
We each run our own business. Right now we are three (the 2 below and me!):

Tami Cohen, ERYT-200, has been practicing yoga for 23 years, and has been teaching in the Lehigh Valley for 11 years. With extensive training in all things anatomy and alignment, Tami creates flows based on intelligent and careful movement.
Tami continually asks her students to check in with their breath and physical impressions, tuning in to each moment as it arises. After all, yoga is a prescription for self-study. She gives you the time on your mat to use your body and breath as tools in order to better understand your mind. The bonus is that you get to stretch and strengthen along the way.
Tami’s classes involve slow transitions and specific cues. As she says, “I do this because I personally need to move this way!” Also, moving a bit slower allows you to really feel what muscles you are activating and how a pose sits in your body. Props and variations are always available. Please click the link below to learn more and sign up for Tami’s classes.
Katrina Pelekanakis, CIYT, has been a dedicated student of Iyengar Yoga since her first yoga class almost 20 years ago. She has trained with some of the most senior Iyengar instructors in the world, traveling the globe in that process.
Using the fundamentals from the Iyengar Yoga tradition, Katrina's yoga teaching focuses on body alignment, muscular balance, and development of strength, flexibility and breath control. With the use of yoga props, students can challenge themselves to learn yoga poses in an educated and safe way. Iyengar yoga is accessible to all types of bodies and to all levels of students.
As Katrina says, “Yoga is for everybody!”
Katrina and Sky Yoga are the original founders of what is now The Co-Op at Sky. We are grateful for her willingness to share her beautiful space with others. Please click on the link below to learn more about Katrina and Sky Yoga and sign up for classes.
Hi, my name is Maggie! I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. I have experienced firsthand yoga’s ability to nourish the body, calm the mind and awaken the spirit.
My path to becoming a yoga instructor has been one of self-discovery, growth and transformation. What began as personal practice evolved into a calling that completely changed my life. After years in the fast-paced world of retail management, I felt called toward something deeper - a life centered around wellness, connection and purpose. Yoga became not only my passion, but my true professional calling.
As a yoga instructor, health coach and aquatic fitness specialist, I am passionate about supporting the connection between body, mind and overall well-being through the holistic approach to health. My intention is to walk alongside each student on their unique journey toward greater health, vitality and inner peace.
All levels welcome, and no previous yoga experience necessary.
